McGovern Centennial Gardens

The McGovern Centennial Gardens, designed by Hoerr Schaudt with White Oak Studio consulting, is the Conservancy’s largest improvement project ever undertaken and will completely transform the existing 15-acre Garden Center site into a spectacular new attraction for Park visitors. The Gardens will feature a Family Garden, Great Lawn, 30' Garden Mount, Celebration Garden, Rose Garden, and the Cherie Flores Garden Pavilion, designed by architect Peter Bohlin of Bohlin Cywinski Jackson. This family-friendly opening day celebration will include art projects sponsored by Macy's, Inc., music, food, performances and more. Free and open to the public. A dedication ceremony will begin at 9:30 a.m.
